Our mandate

The Tribunal exists to hear and determine labour disputes referred to it, promoting harmonious industrial relations and the fair treatment of workers and employers alike.

To provide an accessible, impartial and efficient forum for the resolution of labour disputes in Zambia.

Vision

A fair and productive world of work in which labour disputes are resolved justly and promptly.

Mission

To resolve labour disputes through impartial, accessible and timely adjudication that upholds the law and promotes industrial harmony.

Core objective

To ensure that every party, whatever their means, has a fair hearing before a specialised labour tribunal.

Legal basis

The Tribunal is established and operates under the laws of the Republic of Zambia governing employment and industrial relations. The specific statutory provisions will be set out here once confirmed by the Ministry.
