Filing a complaint
Complete the prescribed complaint form, sign it, attach copies of relevant documents (such as your contract, payslips and termination letter) and lodge it with the Secretariat.
Serving documents
Documents must be served on the other party in the manner set out in the Tribunal Rules. Keep proof of service.
Preparing for a hearing
Organise your documents, prepare a short summary of your case and arrange for any witnesses to attend.
Representation
Parties may appear in person or be represented by a legal practitioner or, where permitted, a trade union or employers’ organisation representative.
Adjournments
Requests to adjourn should be made as early as possible and supported by reasons.
